I am Mamie. (Pronounced May-Me). Yep, this is my real name. It is not short for anything. I’m a 5’2, big dreaming, heel wearing, book reading, Jesus lovin’, hug giving (I try to ask first), chocolate eating, strategic thinking lady. When I am not at home trying my hand at gardening, you can often find me strolling down the aisles of Michael’s planning my next creative adventure or buying more books (you can never have to many books).
As a military wife and a mom to sons, I am living a life that I never knew I could have-but GOD. He already had a plan that was greater than anything I could ever imagine.
Accepting Christ changed EVERYTHING.
In Him, I was given love, grace, forgiveness and restoration. I was not a mistake. My journey was not in vain. He already saw my brokenness and still called me beloved, chosen, and daughter. It was from this revelation that I knew I needed to be more proactive in sowing into the lives of others. This began my love for developing mentoring relationships both professionally and personally. From high school teenage girls to novice teachers, sowing into the next generation became a part of who I am.
I am passionate about helping other women embrace their identity, fulfill their purpose in Christ, and celebrate the moments along the way. Whether in the classroom as an educator, serving in my local church, connecting with stay-at-home moms, or walking out this military life with other military wives, I strive to create a safe place where other women realize they are not alone. From the joyful, “gotta tell everyone moments” to the ugly, “I can’t make it through” moments, WE ARE NOT ALONE.
This blog is our journey together.
Th
is journey is not one of perfection, but rather one of progress.
In this space, I pray you would be encouraged, laugh a little and gain some practical steps to walk out your journey.
